OZ had a tricky meeting at Mallory, his rear shock was leaking and the slipper clutch decided not to slip. Every time he tried to accelerate hard, the rear would squat and squirm about and when he tried to brake later, change down faster or use first, the bike felt like it was going to fall apart or throw him off. He had a best finish of fourth and a best time of 54.3, which he was pleased with given the circumstances.
Ben Harrison - Kawasaki ZXR400
Avery’s is proud to support Local Racer Ben Harrison from Hayle, Ben learnt to ride on motocross bikes around his local fields at 14 and got his first road bike at 18 , a Vfr400 , hence the love of the 400's :)
Ben started racing in 2013 on an extremely small budget, it was a huge learning curve for him, having never been on a trackday or even a track at all before his first test day/race, which was the first time he'd ever ridden in the wet on wet tyres, the list goes on and on.
Ben learnt a lot, crashed a few times but managed a best finish of 4th at Anglesey and ended up 13th in the championship.
He wanted to have another crack at it, so completely rebuilt the bike over the winter apart from the engine which is still standard.

But its all good and as soon as he's all healed up Ben will be back on track giving it full gas again.......
